Area 51 is a great climbing crag that packs an energetic list of powerful rock climbs, all on a convenient south facing bluff. The site boasts unique advantages over other east side crags; it is great for early or late season climbing, and is conducive for rock climbers who are seeking a place to expand their skill level into the solid 5.11 range (mostly sport routes). The crag is accessible from early-May to late October. Take a drive and visit this great little backcountry climbing crag situated on the eastside of the Cascade mountain range.
